A steam locomotive as a static display in a railroad museum allows visitors to view, touch and smell what they mostly experienced through movies or pictures.   It induces many questions of curiosity.

The railway interpretive center in Vallee-Jonction (Centre d’Interpretation Ferroviaire de Vallee-Jonction) chose to push beyond as far as restoring a steam locomotive to operating condition.  From this choice a cultural, patrimonial an educative projet took life: Heritage 46
